Her journey in music began at the tender age of nine when she discovered her innate talent while observing a fellow student copying an exam. Since then, Pernolia has dedicated herself to perfecting her songwriting skills, composed many songs during her primary and secondary school years. Her talent earned her recognition in the Kenyan Music Festival, where she competed and won first place at the national level in Swahili poetry as part of a group. She also showcased her singing abilities during church services, and her passion eventually led her to study Music.

Her music is characterized by its exciting and catchy melodies, with a focus on English lyrics to ensure accessibility to audiences both within and outside of Kenya.
In 2021, Pernolia joined the University, where she ventured into entrepreneurship by establishing a small business selling snacks to fellow students. Through her determination and resourcefulness, she was able to finance her dream of pursuing a music career, leading to the creation and release of her debut single, “I’m Pernolia.”
