One thing that stood out about her, was her outrageous bridle that she wore, accompanied with her confidence. Orie Rogo Manduli, was born Mary Rogo in Maseno to Gordon Rogo who at that time was a headmaster.
Orie was deeply rooted in to politics and made history as the first Kenyan woman to participate in the rally, in 1974.Her death comes as a shock to many. She died on Wednesday, September 8 at her home in Nairobi’s Riverside.
This is after battling with an illness that the family is yet to disclose.The deceased can be described as a fearless go-getter who screamed beauty, brains and boldness. She was a former head of the Non governmental Organisation.
Orie was also crowned Miss Kenya at the age of 16. She will be celebrated as a very powerful politician who leaves behind a legacy worthy to be epitomized. She has departed this life at the age of 73. May her beautiful soul rest in eternal peace.
