Since childhood, I have been an artist, but at a point in my life, the art in me got dormant until I met a well-known artist by the name of Gracearts back in 2017 and she was ready to guide and help me grow my art career.
How do you perceive art and how would say art has changed your life in general?
Art is like fuel to me it activates me and without it, I can’t move forward. Generally, I can say art has expanded my way of thinking and with this, I have been able to make the right decisions in my daily life as a young creative, again it has largely helped me overcome my financial challenges.
Where do you draw your inspiration from?
I draw my inspiration mostly from my past life experiences, imaginations again from nature, and powerful songs, films, or stories.
Why do you make this type of art?
My motivation for creating a certain art is to illustrate my experience or tell a story that can reach the community and bring positive change to them.
What does your artwork represent?
My artwork represents me whereby it makes me recognizable by being unique and creative. It also portrays my diversity of having different ideas which am able to express through paints and colours.

Tell us more about your brand ‘Dreamer’?

What has been your breakthrough moment ever since you began art?
In 2018 I and my crew had organized a street art exhibition and luckily I managed to sell art pieces at 60,000, and this was a very huge step-up since I was able to buy my painting equipment and again it motivated me to continue being an artist.
What are some challenges you face as an artist?
The materials used are quite expensive.
Untrustworthy clients who make orders but don’t pick their art when it’s complete.
Talk about your achievement as an artist?
I’ve developed my career as an art instructor and created many platforms where a young artist can grow themselves and become better visual artists and this has allowed me to connect deeply with them.
What other hobbies do you have apart from art?
Apart from being an artist am a dancer, a poet, and a good swimmer.
What could you change in the art industry if given a chance?
I’d build an institution that offers art education at an affordable fee, this will make artists get more artistic skills. I’d also make art museums free and come up with exhibitions where artists can exhibit, market and sell their art pieces.
What advice would you give to an aspiring artist?
Don’t stagnate. Make sure you navigate in the right direction and most important stay focused and have discipline.
