Santuri East Africa, the award-winning music innovation hub, is thrilled to announce its much-anticipated Santuri Showcase 6.0: The Beginner Bonanza! Scheduled for Friday, May 24th, 2024, this event celebrates the culmination of SEMA (Santuri Electronic Music Academy) fifth beginner-level music production cohort. It also marks a significant milestone in Santuri’s mission to nurture talent across diverse musical landscapes.
Since its inception, Santuri’s SEMA BMP [Beginner Music Production] course has been a catalyst for over 100 burgeoning musicians, each carving unique and vibrant paths in the industry. The Beginner Bonanza promises an evening dedicated to emerging artists, showcasing their creativity, passion, and potential.
Prepare for captivating performances from an eclectic line-up featuring live showcases from mphilo & Kalemela, and DJ sets from SHI, GI Selects, GODDESS & Lilywhite; all of whom are alums of the SEMA program. They’ll be playing alongside the renowned Santuri Sound System (Moige & DJ Shock).
“We are immensely proud of our SEMA BMP graduates and their artistic journeys,” says Sharon Onyango-Obbo, SEMA’s Project Lead. “Coming hot off Kilele, East-Africa’s first music technology symposium, The Beginner Bonanza is another chance for alternative music enthusiasts in Nairobi to join us in the celebration of our community’s talent, dedication, and commitment to the craft. It’s more than just a showcase; it’s a testament to the transformative power of music.”
