Her talent earned her recognition in the Kenyan Music Festival, where she competed and won first place at the national level in Swahili poetry as part of a group. She also showcased her singing abilities during church services, and her passion eventually led her to study Music.

In 2021, Pernolia joined the University, where she ventured into entrepreneurship by establishing a small business selling snacks to fellow students. Through her determination and resourcefulness, she was able to finance her dream of pursuing a music career, leading to the creation and release of her debut single, “I’m Pernolia.”
