I bet you have seen the BBC documentary on #SexForGrades, or the latest one on #SexForWork. I’m really sorry if you have ever suffered from this kind of sexual exploitation. Or maybe you have been pressured by a sugar daddy to do things you didn’t want to do, just so you could afford to stay in college.
If so, you have probably wondered why those men are allowed to get away with it. Why does society think it’s okay? Normal? Or an unavoidable necessary evil? Would you like to see the whole disgusting problem exposed and stopped once and for all?
There’s an organization called Girls First Finance (GFF) that is trying to do that.
Based on focus groups with students in Kenya and other countries, Girls First Finance thinks that up to 50% of girls in Africa are sexually exploited by sponsors in exchange for school fees, and up to 90% of girls face pressure from teachers in a “sex for grades” culture.
So it’s a really big problem. Maybe you know lots of friends who have had this problem.
So why is no one talking about it?
Because the men in power find it easier to keep their dirty little secret a secret. And pretend it’s little instead of really big.
Those in positions of power can get away with ignoring the issue because there aren’t many official or academic studies on it.
So Girls First Finance wants to collect the evidence to expose this issue and permanently end it.
The Girls First Finance survey, which aims to reveal the extent of sexual assault committed by teachers and sponsors, is being requested by GFF from young women and girls throughout Africa. They think that recording these experiences is the first step toward putting an end to this practice, and they hope that the survey will force those in positions of authority to act and make a difference.
Please take the survey here: https://www.girlsfirstfinance.com/survey
Then share it with all your friends.
In July, the outcomes will be made public and Girls First Finance think that this will be the beginning of the end for sponsors and #SexForGrades
It will be the #MeToo moment for #SexForGrades. And they are coming for sugar daddies.
In order to provide sufficient and accessible student loan financing that can aid in preventing the sexual exploitation of female students, the organization is working to make more loans available on better terms. Girls and young women are urged to share and record their experiences as part of a survey that Girls First Finance has developed to ascertain the extent of the scandal in various African nations.
The Girls First Finance team has expressed its dissatisfaction with the lack of attention that those in positions of authority have given to this issue. They believe that in order to achieve this, which can help prevent sexual exploitation, Girls First Finance is working to mobilize flexible private sector capital to pay for all of the living and tuition costs for female students. In order to make it simpler for young women to get the support they require, the organization is also offering a promo code to join their app with premium features for free.
They are dedicated to advocating against gender violence to spread the word about this problem and aid those who are impacted by sexual exploitation. pleading with everyone to join her in the fight to end sex in grades and sponsorships so that the voices of young women and girls in Africa are heard.
GFF has voiced its displeasure with those in positions of authority for not paying enough attention to this matter. They contend that the problem has been neglected in general because those in positions of power have been able to ignore it due to the dearth of official and scholarly data. But they’re committed to bringing this problem to light and putting an end to it for good.

For the Girls First Finance survey, which aims to shed light on the extent of sexual assault committed by mentors and sponsors, they’re soliciting responses from young women and girls across Africa. GFF believes that documenting these experiences is the first step towards ending this practice, and she hopes that the survey will encourage those in positions of authority to take action and make a difference.
They are committed to using their platform to raise awareness of this issue and provide support to those affected by sexual exploitation. thus urging everyone to join them in the fight to end infertility in children and sponsors and make sure that the voices of young women and girls across Africa are heard.
