How did you guys come together to form the name Art in Motion?
Bobo came up with it, after something an inspirational Usher said a few years back, felt like he was describing us
What skills have you learned as a dancer that makes you a good choreographer?
Pacing, knowing how to pace yourself, dancing makes you know just the right moves to use not to get too tired, so when we choreograph, we have that in mind, so we can dance full out and not get tired, so yeah it’s taught us how to choreograph smartly.
Can you describe how you guys go about developing a dance routine for a song?
We all have different ways, but the most common to us all, is first establishing the beat to be used and the count. That’s the blueprint or like the skeleton. Then we add actual moves, that’s the flesh. Then teach each part. Record it, and see what works and what doesn’t. Change it if we need to. Then the routine is hot and ready. Sometimes routine comes up in our dreams lol.
What do you need to determine when developing a dance routine?
If we like the song
Name a dancer or a dance group that you guys look up to?
Kinjaz, wockeez, les twins, keone, kida list is endless
What is your favorite style of dance and why?
Hip-hop because it’s the mother of all other genres
You guys have performed at different venues. What are your favorite and least favorite venues?
Our favorites are Racecourse, Kenya National Theater, Eva gardens, we don’t have a Least favorite, we always try our best to make things work

Describe 2022 in one word for you guys?

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
Reduce trendy dancing. simple trending moves have definitely put dance on the forefront but it also has its disadvantages, it’s dumbed down dance to a level that kids have no technique. Kids nowadays are obsessed with doing trendy dances, than actually knowing how to dance on a performance art level, other than the trending things what else can y’all do, can you actually dance?
What is one message you would give to your fans?
We love y’all
